Why does anyone think Dos Anjos will win?

I'm seriously curious as to why he's the favorite, no disrespect, but why do you think RDA will win?

IMO, his best chance is a 1st round swarm that overwhelms Lawler with speed and volume.

Robbie can easily go five rounds and Dos Anjos has never ate a punch from someone as powerful as Lawler before + Robbie generally only gets more dangerous the longer the fight goes on.

Also, the height and reach disadvantage is heavily stacked for Robbie.

Thoughts?

Have to agree. Lawler is a fighter that really understands when he needs to push the pace. I feel like Dos Anjos is going to get picked apart, but you never know with this sport.

I thought Hendricks beat Lawler both times he's the same height as rda with shorter reach, the leg kicks and volume showed to give Robbie problems.
However Hendricks little pea head is proven to be durable And rda has shown problems against heavy handed fighters (Stephans, Alvarez) so im not sure.

I really likw both guys and I want RDA to win but its hard for me to see how he can beat Robbie, it seems RDA doesnt have any adventage against Robbie

Because Robbie has a habit of taking rounds off, and RDA is the definition of a pressure fighter with extreme skills on the feet and ground.

Should be a solid fight.

Pressure, volume, low kicks, superior grappler

Ok, Hendricks won the first fight via lay n pray 5th round, but you thought he won the 2nd?

Also, Condit beat Lawler handily, but I thought Robbie def did the most damage and won 3 round against Hendricks in the sequel

RDA is always the underdog, but still finds a way to win. Tough fight, but he has a chance

RL mostly has close fights, his strenght is endurance
but RDA is a different monster, not your typical opponent
i think he runs through him

Counting RDA out? Weird. Technical striker with a masterful ground game. He should never be counted out of any matchup. This is not an easy fight for either man.

Robbie starts slow and takes rounds off, RDA is constantly in your face, I see this going 3 ways:

1. RDA decision
2. Early RDA finish
3. 5th round Lawler KO

Hebdricks was barely able to keep Lawler down?
Hendricks outstruck robbie

Probably because Woodley landed the luckiest punch of his career... And suddenly Lawler is a can, past his prime, has a glass chin. etc pick your line.

Robbie wins this one easily and should he fight Woodley again, takes him apart as well.

I think we'll get an even fight for the first two rounds, Robbie will take the mid rounds off and RDA will land kicks and get takedowns. ROund 4 and 5 RDA starts to get tired, defense drops and Robbie comes on late to win by TKO.

That or RObbie cracks him early. I cant see RDA taking Robbies power, a LW moving up to WW vs a power puncher who fought at MW

Assumption USDA Lawler will have come back down to earth I'm guessing.

Majority of media scored both fights for Johny. Robbies 15 second flurry at the end didnt win him that fight.
