Why do people think Stipe Miocic is American?

Holland is one of the most multiculturally diverse countries in the world.
They are less nationalistic, true, but most immigrants have always gone to Holland.
It's not diverse compared to america, Holland is 78% dutch

there's not one single ethnic group that's that dominant in america

with all the flack Americans catches for being "racist", America is really crazy diverse compared to any European country

When was the last time you've seen a fire outside of America?

America is founded by immigrants, off course its diverse, the territory is pretty big as well.
Only 2 percent of Holland has Dutch ancestors and can be considered the "real" Dutch people.
The rest have one or more parents from a different country.

About racism in America, I don't live there so you know better, we are just served the worst examples. Police brutality etc. But yeah.
In my opinion, as an immigrant, respect the country you are in. I'm very happy for the opportunities offered to me.

Im not here to convert anyone. You can believe what you want. Im just telling you its far from a fact and theres alot of evidence to challenge that theory. And in fact its highly disregarded now.

Its in NO WAY "highly disregarded". It just has been supplemented by various new hypotheses and ideas from the fossil record. Standing alone, saying humans originated in East Africa isn't wrong, just an incomplete picture.

If he was American, he'd be called Runs with Steve.
No, the 'indigenous' tribes who populated North America before Europeans brought sociological advancement would of never been called Steve. In fact, it was difficult for tribes to communicate with one another as there were 3,000 different 'indigenous' American languages and without European settlement advancement would not of been possible.

well for starters 'they' aren't one thing aren't one thing that came from somewhere and ended up somewhere else but many things that change(d) over generations in many different places, referring them to as a single entity is just a convenient shorthand, but I guess that's over your head.

The point is, that what they turned into originated outside Africa (in adaptation to non-african environments and also probably breeding with other humanoids who had lived and developed outside it for 100,000's of years), and therefore it is erroneous to say that they 'originated in africa' just because their distant ancestors once lived there.

You used 'they' as a shorthand to refer to Eurasians and I simply continued using the shorthand, so you're taking issue with your own phraseology.

It's not wrong to use 'originate' in reference to either of the meanings above (i.e. the location in which their ancestors sprung from or the location in which they ultimately developed a significant number of attributes), as those both obviously come within the dictionary definition of the word.

Please see my sig for how this argument has played out.

Because he was born here, lives here, pays taxes here and has an American passport. By your rational only native Americans are American, everyone here who is white, black, brow, yellow or green for that matter has heritage from somewhere other than America.
Nah, bro. "Native" Americans crossed the land bridge over modern-day Bering Straight some ~10,000 years ago. According to TS's logic, they're not American.
