Ignorance is not knowing through lack of effort and/or lack of experience. Stupidity is the incapability of knowing regardless of effort level. I feel like people pat themselves on the back for knowing things way too much and are quick to talk down to others, calling them stupid, moronic, etc. It's basically an ego form of racism. They're being ignorant of the fact most people ARE capable of knowing something, because they want to feel more highly of themselves.

It's confusing because ignorant people tend to also be stupid.

Who called you stupid Mike? Tell us and we will destroy them.

Both are blissful, so the same yeah? All the knowers and smartie pantses seem so miserable.

The entire 2016 election is filled with people like this..

I think people beleive its just easier to say both and entwine them...most people just yak emotions like a penis ejaculating without hands all over the place anyways...

When you have to go out of your way to correct everyone, you're not intelligent, you're a slave to your ego.

Within democracies a vote from the ignorant and stupid is as powerful as that of an educated and enlightened voter, so one is right to be concerned what they are thinking. Similarly you'll find the ignorant have loud voices and therefore an outsized influence on public policy, look no further than the GMO ban within parts of the EU and the rise of Trump. You whole post kinda sounds as if you're saying knowledge is bad, or if you do know something, shut up about it.

Actually, what I am saying is educated people should just be grateful they are educated and not condescend or feel better than others. I just see way too much ego in this world. Most people are IGNORANT, not STUPID. Calling people stupid is a huge disrespect and it's usually done by the person to feel better about themselves. That's terrible in my eyes.

You're right and people shouldn't be condescending to stupid people either. Stupid people can't help that they are stupid.
