If you look at the science behind 99% of supplements, they're all bro-science bullshit. They don't actually do anything.

Why do fighters risk failing drug tests via tainted supplements?

Uhhhh...to gain an advantage?

Ate you asking why people take supplements of why they take drugs/PEDs?

Supplements are supposed to be what the name implies...a supplement to your diet. Foods, proteins, vitamins and other ergogenic aids are all included. Can include the basics like protein or creatine to preworkout stimulants and of course, stuff like prohormones that are now banned but were once over the counter.

Some work, some don't but they pretty much all give you that mental edge because you want to believe they're working. In some cases, that's enough. There's also the tricks the companies use, like adding niacin to a preworkout so that you get that warm flushed face feeling to make you believe somethings happening.

One thing is for sure, don't believe all the crap you read in the mags...nothing will give you "steroid like results" except actual steroids.

I know right! Why do they eat? Why are they interested in how their bodies work? Why don't they just bang?

Because they don't help.

Because it takes alot of energy to be a Rock Star.

Because they are sponsored by supplement companies

cause apparently 98% of all legal supplements have actual anabolic steroids and/or estrogen inhibitors in them

Why not? training to kill and not be killed. Not scared to have a little whey protein every now and then.

I don't know if that's true. Even if it is all bro-science and not proven to work the fighters want the edge. That's why they cut weight too despite it being very unhealthy. They can't be satisfied with their natural athleticism, nutrition, weight lifting and training. They have to do things they think will put them in peak physical condition for a fight and some of them are on illegal Performance Enhancing Drugs for good measure.

Gonna be tough for Jones to continue to get sponsors now. What legit company wants to sponsor roiders and have their brand associated with that?

So they can pull the "tainted supplement" card.

Because it's damn hard to eat all the calories, protein and other nutrientes when you're training for 6 to 8 hours a day. If you're gonna ingest all the protein you need only to maintain your muscles with the amount of cardio they do you're gonna have to eat a cow a day.

Suplements are not steroids and they don't have the same effects. But most of them work for what they are supposed, even if not as effectively as they are said to work. But hey, they gotta hype their own product, doesn't the UFC do the same with their once in a lifetime athletes?

Not all supps are bro science. So there's that.

I take a few and they help me out. Nothing crazy but protein, preworkout, NO2 booster, and creatine.

I'd love to buy a suplement tainted with steroids.
