Why did Sage give up?

That choke didn't even look that deep. It just seemed like he made a conscious decision to give up because he didn't like getting dominated. This is actually very disappointing. I expected better of Sage at this point, but I guess my hopes were misplaced. Hope he gets a legit team behind him, and I hope he takes this experience and learns from it.
