Why did Nikita Krylov drop to 205 after a very successful HW debut?

He TKO'd Walt Harris in his UFC HW debut in the first round. He destroyed a guy who weighed 50lbs of muscle bigger than him in the first round with ease so why drop after that? He then immediately lost his 205 debut against OSP. Was it his decision to drop or did the bald clown force him to for some weird unknown reasons?

Walt Harris wasn't his debut, he lost one of the worst fights (gas fests) in UFC history against Soa first.. he was undersized and looked outta shape at HW. 205 is definitely the right division for him.

He's really undersized at HW. I think he came in at like 215 for that fight.

Yeah thats right but its still odd to drop after winning a fight in your division in spectacular fashion in the first round. He then lost his very next fight at 205.

Because weighing in under 220 as a HW isn't a good thing.

because in MMA it's the norm to cut as much weight as you can to fight in the smallest division you possibly can

because he feels more comfortable at 205 the guys arent as big lol idk

March 14, 2016 join date. This thread makes sense now.

Why is the sky blue?

Honestly I'm at a loss for words lol

It worked out well against Harris

He KO'd Harris before there was any grappling though. That's where the weight difference counts against you, it doesn't matter so much in the striking which is why you'll get relatively small HW's like Spong do well in kickboxing but cut down for mma.

Eh, I would guess that he knows what he's doing.

The way he looked against OSP, or in against Donovan, he must realize that someone like Gonzaga, Lewis or Rosholt laying their hands upon him would end very badly.

Losing to OSP doesn't really mean it's the wrong division. The guys a beast

Wow bro you joined a whole 5 months before me, what an OG you are
Not my first account, been on Sherdog for years. Yet I don't ask stupid questions. It is rather obvious why he went to LHW.
