The first punch thrown, Cowboy ducked and it appeared he was going for a td but Conor's knee and thigh hit him right in the chin pretty hard. I think he was a bit stunned from that even before the shoulder stuff which set up the finish.

Answer is he did try then got hit 16 times in the head.
