Sure, if they fought at those historic times with no weight limit, and if they beat HWs like Severn, Shamrock, Conan Silvera, Kimo Leopoldo, like they did, then they are legit HWs when we look at those historic times. And should be considered as good wins for HWs at those historic times, because they showed abillity to beat them. If you beat Royce Gracie in 1990s, that is a great HW win.

There was no minimum weight required, or anything. No weight limit at all, up or down. If you can beat good big HW fighters, you are a HW, no matter what you weight. You showed your fighting abillity. At the end of the day, it is a fight where abillity to beat the other guy counts, not a weight in contest where the bigger number on the scale automatically wins.

It was quite normal for 200lbs fighters to face off against much larger fighters, Frank Shamrock beat Bas and Kosaka and it wasn't long ago that Frank was gonna fill in on an Elite XC card to fight Kimbo, so many fighters that weighed less fought and beat HW's Renzo Gracie beat Maurice Smith there are many examples of this the point is holding a loss against someone because they took a loss against another fighter that weighed 20lbs less is ridiculous and silly.

Henderson was a 200lbs fighter for most of his career in early UFC and Pride it was only much later he started fighting at MW, when people on here start saying Fedor lost to MW it only shows that you have very limited knowledge of the history of NHB and only modern UFC.

Dan literally came the ring at a MW fight weight.
Many MW fight heavier than he did when he knocked Fedor out.

Fedor was regressing by the time he faced Rogers that was in 2009 I believe so him losing to Henderson 3 years after that doesn't hold much weight and Dan being 40yo big deal, everyone ages differently and some won't take things like HGH to stay in top form.

As for Fedor fighting Bader in his mid 40's I agree he should not have been fighting at that point but make no mistake Pride or even Affliction level Fedor would have been the clear favorite over Bader.

I think Big Foots top game was amazing and his best skill. Unfortunately he didn't have the takedowns to ever use it except against Fedor.

Fedor might have caught him on the feet in a rematch but it was a bad matchup for him. Similar to Jacare was the nightmare matchup for Mousasi. Mousasi was comfortable working off his back but against Jacare that was just not a feasible strategy. Barnett might have been a bad matchup for Fedor too but maybe against Barnett Fedor could've still muscled his way back to the feet.

The Werdum and Hendo losses were just bad luck cmon now. He would've beaten both in a rematch. And yes if course at some point his age started to show badly. Not sure when exactly. That in addition with his high risk style of course always opened up the option of suffering KO losses as well.
