But I didn't talk about barriers. The word "barriers" is literally nowhere in my post or my previous post. Nor did I talk about "hurdles".
I'll re-type my position for the 3rd time. If we want people to have a voter ID card to vote then the simplest solution is to simply send it to them prior to the election. This way we know that everyone who is eligible to vote will have the necessary identification on time. Maximized identification - isn't that the goal?
But there will be "barriers" regardless. Paperwork will need to be filled, like any other ID. They aren't just going to send them out willy nilly. That's just par for the course. If the ID was free, but you still had to prove who you are to get one, would you be for it?
