Why are the Nordic countries so happy?

Scandinavians are not happy.

It's a fictive politically correct measurement scale.

Dark in the winter and cold, bitter weather.
Regulations on everything. 20 million inteoverted people.

Do Scandinavians enjoy higher quality of life? Yes, but life is God awful boring.
Isn't that that place you can have a wank in public? If you consider that pedestrian i don't know what to say.

Damn the Swedes! They are even stealing hotties from the rest of the world through immigration (see pic).

Honestly, I think hotness would be a solid foundation for immigration policy (for both men and women). Forget what you can contribute, nobody is going to complain if the government just let a bunch of hot people into the country (as long as the genders are distributed equally).
But all the hot foreign chicks would just end up dating all the hot foreign men.

I think you'd have to only allow them in from poor countries. That way they'll all want to date rich Americans who can afford both toaster AND microwave.

Most of them don't own shit compared to Americans, though. A lot of them ride bicycles and shit, dont even have cars, can't afford to buy big houses like we do here. 1/3 of the houses here have pools. I doubt 1% of their population even own pools. Most of them live in tiny ass studio apartments.

Also, this post struck a cord in me when I read it awhile back

No matter who they date, they and their descendants will increase the hotness factor of society. Also, I used to work with refugees. I saw many, beautiful African women with lower shelf Scandinavian men (often double the girls' age). Those men could provide security and stability - they had steady jobs but were not rich. In return, they got a lovely wife and a bunch of mixed-race kids.

An older, African women was in shock once when I told her, I had to leave early to cook for my family. "You are working! You are a man! In Africa, when you get home, dinner is on the table! And it doesn't matter when you get home!"

Love my wife, but did feel wistful for a second there, lol.

That's somewhat exaggerated, but it's true that Americans in similar jobs will be wealthier. I'm just a lowly high-school/college teacher, but I do have a nice, big house and a car (and two bicycles, lol). No pool, though, I'll give you that and I've always been clever with money.

The upside is that we have a better work/life balance. I'm home no later than 4 most days and have time to spend with my family or for myself. We can even afford to have my wife work 80% of full time while the kids are small. I much prefer this to working longer hours and owning more stuff, but, of course, it's what I'm used to.

Welp if I ever get divorced I know where I'm going to find my next wife

How big is your house in sq. ft. ? I guarantee you American homes are MUCH larger than your average houses over there, and with more stuff inside.

It's not out of the ordinary to see what you would consider "poor" over here to be consistently driving new cars.
