What I just listed - collective narcissism, chauvinism, machismo - are characteristics of Fascism that would be listed in just about any halfway decent analysis of Fascism. This is not controversial at all.

I'll give you an example. Umberto Eco, one of the more intelligent men of the 20th century, who actually grew up in Fascism under Mussolini's Italy, wrote a very famous article in 1995 listing 14 main characteristics of Fascism. You can read it here:

During the 1980's some of the most rabidly anti-LGBTQ right-wing leaders actually ended up dying of AIDS because they were gay.

Trump's own mentor, Roy Cohn, famously. Roger Stone defended it by saying Cohn wasn't gay...he just fucked dudes, and there is a difference! Gay people were fairies - weak! "Roy was not a homosexual; he was a guy who liked having sex with men."

There's also Terry Dolan.

Many others who were anti-LGBTQ were later found to actually be homosexuals.

Ken Mehlman - Chairman of of the RNC and leader of Bush's 2004 campaign.

Roy Ashburn - voted against every single piece of LGBTQ rights that crossed his desk. Every single one. He got arrested for a DUI after enjoying a nice night out at a gay bar.

Ed Shrock - sponsored bill to ban same-sex marriage nationwide. Was later found to be using a gay dating app and dropped his reelection bid.
