Why are people so upset that Fox went with WWE instead of UFC?

Fox did a terrible job with UFC and they really only promoted stars they cared about like Conor or Ronda. As someone relatively new to MMA, the other champs are barely promoted like them. Cody vs Dillashaw 2 will be pretty interesting because of their history and that’ll probably sell like hot cakes and ESPN can have a field day with the interviews unlike with Fox and maybe guys like Stipe and DJ will get a chance to show some personality seeing as they might actually try and promote them for a change.

There are so many worthwhile people they could of had on their panels instead of Woodley, DC and Florini. Will not miss Florini and Anik commentating either.

I don’t mind at all. It’s easy to understand Fox’s move. I hope it bring a few changes. Cough Anik cough

some of us dont care about stupid fake fighting tho...

anik works for ufc not espn.

Fox had an offer on the table for SEVEN MONTHS, hoping UFC would take it.
They gave UFC a hard date of 5/16 to take it & UFC didn't.

That is not really "choosing" WWE over UFC when UFC chose not to take the offer

;)

But both companies (WWE & UFC) made great deals & both are up in value, so good stuff all around

Because FOX is the insecure white guy's headquarters, and ESPN is their hated Civil Right's opponent.

They now have to travel outside of their safe space to watch the UFC, and you don't know how much that unsettles the identity politics of white resentment.

They don't dominate the discussion anymore. It' just another cultural loss in a never-ending string of cultural losses.

Most people seem to find it a good move from FOX to ESPN. The last few years of the FOX deal have been horrible

Trump placed economic sanctions on the UFC forcing Fox to liquidate all interests in the UFC or face secondary sanctions. ESPN picked up UFC since they hold trillions in US Treasuries so have no fear of being sanctioned by Trump.
