How was Tony's performance against Kevin Lee any better? He got knocked down, taken down, and beaten down until the sub against a fighter who lost to Al who is in my opinion a much better fighter than Lee.

50-43 has that even been done in a title fight before? In a world where Conor got owned by Nate, Tony getting lit up by fighters like Lando I don't see how this performance was something you can say convinced you that he would lose to people like Tony and Conor.

It's like when Jon Jones got shit for not finishing OSP.

Khabib just reached a new level of mysticism where people criticize him for any flaw in his performance.

If you had listened to Rogan's commentary, you'd think the fight was close. People hear the OH and think oh wow Khabib is being tagged. Dude deflected almost every strike.

The OSP/Jones comparison is dead on perfect.

Joe Rogan & Punchers Chance with a bit of Mmath thrown in for the casuals. It's your typical BS you'd expect from Conor fans and haters you have it after every Khabib fight no matter how he looks.

People shitting on this performance also praise Canrous for his majority win over Nate.

Connie fanboys trying to cope

It's been a rough week for them.

He looked beatable

Chin up high, moving back straight up
Telegraphed takedown
Slowed down a little

Doesn't mean he's not a great fighter and wasn't dominant but of course we are gonna talk about those flaws and how they might be exploited in the fights we want to see.

People love to hate on Khabib. He's held on a higher standard. He could completely dominate a fight and still be told he looks like shit. Meanwhile Tony actually struggled at points with Kevin Lee and RDA, and Conor flat out lost to a Nate Diaz and struggled a MD in the second fight.

Casual fans don't understand style matchups and how a guy like Al Iaquinta is actually a tougher fight for him than many higher ranked guys, because he was a NCAA wrestler and able to stop Khabib's ground offense.

Also people criticizing his striking are simply ignorant, he is not trying to KO people in standup, its just a means to an end of getting guys down and controlling them. He stands upright and keeps his head up because it allows him to avoid being kneed or headkicked, and walk people down without as much risk as if he was low to the ground. Remember what Yoel did to Weidman? That is why Khabib stays upright until he gets someone's back to the cage and shoots.

Pretty well said, and to be honest, anyone with any sort of comeback to this is simply delusional.

The dude fights like that all the time yet 26 people couldn't do anything about it.

Tibau stuffed Khabib, Michael Johnson stuffed Khabib, Barboza did too, and Al did tonight. Khabib always keep his chin up high as well but why has he never paid for it? Not fighting good enough strikers? Barboza, MJ, and Al are pretty damn good at standing up with people.

I'm not saying Conor and Tony cant beat him but people need to chillax on the criticism that was obvious from the get go.

Chin up high for how many fights now, and how many times has he been rocked?

I don't think he was a NCAA wrestler but he certainly wrestles at that level in MMA.

I still say that could have easily been a nod for Nate, it wasn't a dominating performance by any means.

Yeah it was close, I had Konour winning 48-47 myself. Point is, the same people who praise Konour for that win will claim Khabib got exposed in a 50-43 win. How retarded is that.

I had the sound off. All I saw was a one sided beat down.

Use your eyes fools.

Joe Rogan screaming at blocked counters. Some landed, but did nothing. Looked like Khabib could go for another 5 rounds lol.
