Why are people not crying fluke like in the past?

So I'm curious, sherdoggers were crying their eyes out and screaming that it was a complete fluke when Conor KO'd Jose while he was charging in.
But when Stipe KO's Werdum also charging in no fluke cries anywhere that I have noticed at least.

Double standard for Conor haters or is there some Justification as to why Stipe's KO was more legit than Conor's?

In both cases, fluke or not, they're both big wins.

Stop trying to goad people into giving Conor more credit after shitting the bed. You whiners need to realize there are other fighters to root for, lol.

Werdum didn't have much of an aura coming into the fight. If he was on his 4th or 5th title defense, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be calling it a fluke.

Sherdog is horribly inconsistent, that's why. I'm pleasantly surprised that it isn't happening this time though. I figured that after Silva and Conor, there was no chance it wouldn't happen this time.

Neither was really a fluke imo.

BUT - both cases involved a champ tossing good judgement aside, and rushing face first into dudes with really nice hands.

Not flukes, just dumb moves against really good fighters. It only takes one mistake against a bawse striker, and you're done.

This is a good perspective, honestly. People's perception of a fighter's invincibility is usually what leads to this. 10 years without a loss is nothing to scoff at, but in a fight with two highly skilled guys, anything can happen at any given moment. Conor beat Aldo in a shocking manner, but that doesn't make it any less of a legitimate win. Can a rematch go differently? Sure. But it doesn't discredit the previous fight or fighter.

Stop trying to goad people

Agreed.

Both fights had flukey results.

The difference is that Stipe & Werdum are less polarizing, with fewer and less extreme fanboys than Aldo & McGreggor.

So people aren't being quite as childish about discussing this fight as that one.

Whiner? How tf am I whining?
I'm not trying to do anything, I'm actually curious. Stop making idiotic assumptions like you know everything.
Sherdog cried and still cries and calls Conor's victory over Aldo a fluke but when basically the same thing happens they are silent like a bunch of hating hypocrites.
I root for lots of other fighters moron.

You're gotten to. So much salt, lol.

I'll contribute it to Diaz.

Haven't you heard? Everything Conor ever did was a fluke. - Common Sherdogger

I'm not ashamed at all by Conor's loss to Diaz. I think he fought hard and lost, no salt at all.
But on the other hand when you idiotic irrational sherdoggers just post all over these forums hating on the man and consistently using a double-standard that is where the salt comes from.
But you, you're just saying "so much salt" cause I clowned you're ass and left you with nothing to say.

Your first sentence is the realest thing I've ever read on here.

Exactly, @Arm Barbarian never disappointing and coming in with insightful, non-biased knowledge. I like it.

You are whining about a double standard. Lets call a spade a spade. You could have legit points but it doesnt change the fact that you are whining.
You are trying to do something. Again, you could have legitimate points, but lets not pretend there is no agenda towards defending/praising Conor.

Now addressing the issue of why there is a difference:
Werdum was not 10 years undefeated and did not have tons of title defenses.
Werdum still did not act as uncharacteristically as Aldo. He had rocked Stipe which gave him a false sense of security.
Werdum was not "gotten to", he just made a mistake. Aldo's behavior is because Conor got into his head. If they were to meet without all the trash talking prior do you think it would have gone the same way?

Conor won. Stipe won. Im not happy about either of those (although I predicted Conor's win and even put money on it because I knew he was in Aldo's head). They are both, in a sense, flukes, and yet are both totally legitimate victories, much like Weidman/Anderson.
