Why are more people not talking about Pitbull’s UFC debut??

I agree and would you recommend gen V? I've heard mixed reviews

Yea man if you’re into “other than Marvel/DC” sup content, it’s a good tangential story to The Boys and the whole Vaught universe. Not a big commitment. They’re only one season deep and episodes are shortish.

Invincible is also fantastic, though not related.

UFC always waits til top talent is declining to under cut them in a contract so they don't have to pay them what they were really worth
Except the UFC didn’t wait, Patricio was happy in Bellator hence why he kept renewing contract after contract, did the UFC ever even have him on their radar or offer him a contract before, Bjorn would have never let him go, I don’t know because UFC clearly for years had the best 145lb fighters in MMA. Scott Coker sold Bellator to PFL & its existing contracts, which resulted in him not being offered bouts and contract disputes which tells you a lot on what PFL thinks he worth.

What other Top Talents did the UFC never sign when they were available as in free agency? UFC has signed fighters all relevant talent from PrideFC’s left overs aside from Kharitsnov & Fedor, signed talent like Mcgregor, Pimblett. Eddie Alvarez & Will Brooks who were Bellator Champions at the time and in their primes, the notion of the UFC waiting for Top Talent to get old is one of the dumber fucking conspiracy put by the Dana & UFC haters.

He’s old and was never that good.

Because Arlvoski's UFC debut was like 25 years ago.

Duh.

But if yall wanna talk about his dirty boxing debut, that would be relevant. That just happened pretty recently. Here it is:

That is an interesting elbow / forearm strike, not for sure how it actually worked. It seems like is should not.

Was that Jon Anik in a bad toupee? LMAO.

We have literally been fantasying matching this event for years. You would think that hype would be crazy but it feels like no is talking about it. More people are talking about Paddy!!! Why is this happening??
It is on a very good card IMO.
Can't wait to see
Paddy vs Chandler
Pitbull vs Yair

I am also hoping to see Bryce get sent to the shadow realm again and I want to see how Lopes measures up with Volk.

To get an idea at how late this comes, Patricio Pitbull became the bellator featherweight champion for the first time in september 2014.
Let's see what the UFC ranking at featherweight looked like at the time and where they are now :

C. Aldo : Currently near the bottom of the bantamweight top 15
1. Mendes : Last win in the UFC was in 2018
2. Swanson : Hasn't been a serious contender since a 4 fights losing streak lasting from 2017 to 2019
3. Edgar : Last win in the UFC fight was in 2020
4. Lamas : Last win in the UFC fight was in 2020
5. Poirier : Top 5 lightweight still, but one fight away from retirement
6. TKZ : Last won in the UFC fight in 2021
7. Bermudez : Last win in the UFC fight was in 2019
8. Lentz : Last win in the UFC fight was in 2019
9. McGregor : Last win in the UFC was in 2020
10. Siver : Last win in the UFC fight was in 2017
11. Stephens : Last win in the UFC fight was in 2018
12. Guida : Last time he won two fights in a row was in 2017
13. Elkins : Hasn't been a serious contender since a 4 fights losing streak lasting from 2018 to 2020
14. Oliveira : Only guy still on top right now
15. Kawajiri : Last win in the UFC fight was in 2015

I would call Jeremy Kennedy a pretty decent win. Went 3-1 in the UFC and only lost to Volkanovski.
  1. Kennedy's 3 UFC wins were against relative cans.
  2. A win over someone like Kennedy isn't the kind of win that would get people excited about a fighter's UFC debut. Kennedy isn't even a top 30 FW.

Like others have said, it's almost too little too late. He's getting up there in fighting age and it would have been better years ago, but I'm still excited to see what he does.

Kennedy did just go to a really close split decision against Movlid Khaybulaev, who has quality wins in Brendan Loughnane, Lance Palmer, Chris Wade and an overall good record where all but 3 of his 24 opponents at least having a positive record and a good few fights under their belt.

The main problem is nobody really knew who the fuck he was in the first place, except people who watched Bellator which was like 4 or 5 people. A secondary problem is the fact that he’s already old, and he lost to a bunch of bums recently. Thus, the 4 or 5 people who are aware of him think he’s washed and they aren’t excited to watch him lose more.

It’s at least 4 years too late
That would make him 34, the age of Merab and Pantoja, current champs in even lighter weight classes.

I think Pitbull is passed his prime, but there are plenty of lighter weight class fighters in their mid to late 30s performing well. He doesn't need an excuse before he even fights.

Dude might be washed. Not as concerned about the age as the mileage he already has.
Not that much mileage. If you compare the quality of his competition to someone like Max, it's not even close.
