Whats the main reason in your opinion, that cause Rugby to be not so popular despite similarity with American Football?

Also I laugh when people saying "but but US are world champion in American Football"

Rugby is for poor countries. We play first world sports in the first world. I'm not sure if you're from some third world Nation or not, but they should all be thankful we don't play Rugby. I'd imagine if everyone decided to drop Football (A level sport) this second and took up Rugby, we'd be world champs every year. Same goes for soccer and Cricket (whatever the fuck that is)
 
Same reason Kosovo sucks at baseball. They don't play it.

the Americans that play Rugby, play because they have likely failed at every other sport (literally EVERY other sport) . if our worst of the worst athletes are rnked 16th that says all there is to be said.

Rugby isn't popular in Murica, so naturally you don't get many talents. I think Americans could easily be top 3 in world rugby if it is as popular as NFL, maybe even the top dog.
 
Because we don't give a shit about it, even a little. Same reason we suck at soccer.

I love playing rugby, and I'm usually a tuck. I play with some guys who are in a large national team on occasion.

The biggest reason that rugby players in America suck compared to say, England or New Zealand is because our talent goes to the NFL to play football and make millions a year to play. Only the top players in the world make livable money playing rugby. It's just not lucrative enough of an option for our best talent.

Football, American style not that :eek::eek::eek: European game, is the most perfectly designed strength sport for the athletes and the fans. The clock stoppage and play count forces the game to move quickly and intensely, whereas rugby drags on. Each play in football is 100% effort for 20 seconds or so which allows for easy television watching and keeps the athletes explosive. I absolutely love the NFL. That shit is way more exciting to watch than rugby. On top, my team is going to the Superbowl this year

Because its not a popular or lucrative sport whatsoever so it doesnt attract our best athletes.

America's finest athletes are virtually exclusively in the NFL and the NBA.
