The co main event for UFC 200 is a rematch between Jose Aldo & Frankie Edgar and in my opinion this the most intriguing fight of the card and one that will steal the show, why?

With Edgar improving in various aspects since the first meeting between the pair, looking superb against Chad back in December and having momentum and being hungry for the shot at the championship against McGregor + the added outlook for redemption against the loss to Aldo many years ago there is unfinished business with that for Frankie.

For Jose Aldo the major talking point about him going into this fight is how he will be mentally after suffering the first loss in his reign of dominance lasting over an entire decade, from WEC beating Swanson, Edgar to beating Mendes and Frankie, a long span of winning which ended in December in devastating fashion to McGregor, this is a crucial moment for Aldo, the question is, is he going to permanently lose something from the loss which will result in losing this fight or will he find something and new gears and go out for redemption?

With all of these different variations behind this fight, I believe this will make for a classic.

There is a lot on the line in this fight, potentially the last hurrah at the big money fight with McGregor for the winner, where does the loser go?

I'm still not sure who I am picking for this fight, will wait for the build up and how they are around each other at the pressers etc.

Thoughts?

Not sure it will steal the show, but it's very possible it will. Awesome fight and I can't wait.

Ufc is killing a contender here. The loser of this fight will never sniff gold again.

Aldo's gonna have Edgar's corn niblets all over his face for 5 rounds

Mind and heart both say Edgar, I want to see Conor vs. Edgar just to shut up the haters once for all

Edgar for me. Aldo's knockout by McGregor will play on his mind and I don't think he will be the same fighter again. I hope I am wrong though as he's a legend.

I got Edgar by decision, he will mix up the boxing with the wrestling and out point Aldo

Hope Edgar win this time... :(

It will be an interesting fight
A lot of factors come into play here:
USADA, the IV ban, Aldo's mental state after the 13 second KO,Frankie's momentum and his impressive 3 finishes in last 5 wins

All of this indicate that Frankie is probably going to win the fight

As TS originally stated - really depends on Aldo's state... if he's fragile at all - even a little bit, he loses... i could even see him getting KO'd or TKO'd. However, if Conor re-lit the fire in Aldo, and it appears that he has ... I think Aldo could go on a tear and beat everyone in the division. Conor included.

I am hoping for the latter. Everyone who watched Aldo during the WEC days knows he was an absolute animal and a joy to watch. I would really like to see this again.

Hoping for a re-ignited Aldo...

Going with Aldo - no slack to Edgar as I wouldn't mind him winning either.

Yea it was a stail decision the first time so naturally its gunna be amazing

Yeah but, it's a good fight. Contenders should fight eachother.
FE Aldo 2 would make way more sense if edgar were coming off a loss. UFC is hoping aldo wins cause styles make fights, golden goose, baked potatoes and all that jazz

Excited to see if Aldo has the fire and ability to improve after a loss.

Edgar for me. Aldo's knockout by McGregor will play on his mind and I don't think he will be the same fighter again. I hope I am wrong though as he's a legend.
I think its a good fight for aldo, even though i hate it on many levels. He gets to get back in there and fight, vs someone he already beat, so will help his confidence recover after Conor fight. I think Aldo takes this by UD, or possibly TKO.

I pick Edgar because I believe that the KO Aldo took will still be affecting him, just like I feel Mendes' affected him in his fight with Frankie.

Ufc is killing a contender here. The loser of this fight will never sniff gold again.

It'd be worse if neither had won or fought for a title before. That, plus the fact that there's still Holloway and maybe at some point Oliveira, Korean zombie, and surely some up and comers in the near future.

Aldo by TKO. Get ready for a chainsaw
