Who's your NBA MVP? ***UPDATE: Poll Added***

i actually have CP3 third, behind Harden and Curry. Although i'd be fine w/ westbrook or the brow getting 3rd, CP3 has a better team, so there's that

Great NBA article on the Beard's epic MVP season.
"While the Warriors have been dominant and won so consistently and so impressively that Curry has often been able to sit on the bench watch during fourth quarters, Harden's burden has never lessened through a season in which the Rockets have lost 171 player games to injury. That's a total topped only by the Lakers and Timberwolves, who'll be wallowing in the lottery while the Rockets are a how-do-they-keep-doing-it 53-25.

In short, it's Harden."
"Whether it's filling up the bucket from the opening tip to taking over in the fourth quarter to rescue wins, Harden has poured in points like never before in his career. He's scored 30 or more points 34 times this season, 40 or more 10 times and topped the half-century mark twice. He's had the first three triple-doubles of his career this season while also averaging 6.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game."

"He's done it by leaving the comfort zone in Oklahoma City where he could have stayed tucked into the next with Durant and Russell Westbrook for an entire career. But Harden chose to see how far he fly on his own, even if it's taken him longer than he expected in Houston."

"As he's taken over more and more of the offense, Harden has taken on more of the responsibility of leadership. In their season of turmoil and churning lineups, he's kept the Rockets moving forward and never losing more than two games in a row at any point."

The Rockets' injury problems are really understated. With a healthy team they'd already be well above 60 wins.

Hardgoat has been carrying that team. If they can avoid injuries, the Rockets are cruising through the playoffs.

If the Rockets play the Spurs or the Clippers, they aren't making it out of the first round. lol @ cruising through the yoffs.

^No doubt. I think everyone here in the thread agrees that the Rockets would be #1 if it wasnt for all the injuries. #FEARtheBEARD

Is Dwight still on a minute restriction? They'll need more from him tonight.

The debate is over after last night's terrible performance from Hardcan. Curry is the clear MVP.

at least curry's team isn't in the sixth seed. right now I don't know how anyone can have hardcan in their top 4.

Curry v the Spurs last week = 9 for 17, 24 points 52.9% FG

Harden last night v the Spurs = 5 for 19, 16 points 26.3% FG

Apparently to cans like Bargey these two performances are the same.

Current MVP rankings

Lebron
Curry
Paul
Brow
Hardcan

Curry will win it and then get bounced in the 2nd round.

The last Rockets team to win it all also came from 6th seed. They also had the leagues best player and swept aside the actual MVP's team and MVP runner up's team on their way to a title.

Only difference is Hakeem's team wasn't decimated by injuries and Beard's team has already exceeded that total by 6 games.

Yep, and David Robinson won MVP that season.

The West is so tough and competitive (as usual) that 1 measly game separates #2 from #6 so the Rockets' seed doesn't really mean a whole lot. Anyone can get a few lucky breaks and climb up to #2.

Hardgoat got 30 and was 10-18 FG tonight. Back in MVP form.

Oh, and Dwight is slowly getting back in shape.

Lol. Rockettes suck. First round exit looms

if spurs, clips, rockets, griz win their remaining game(s) 4 playoff teams will have same record
