I keep hearing Bisping saying that Nate will be a walk in the park for GSP at 155 and that Conor is the real trouble fight for him. But I can't say I agree, Nate is almost impossible to finish and has worlds better cardio than Conor and GSP. Also if GSP's gas tank still runs out at 155 I think Nate will piece him up and possibly submit him. But I feel like a gassed gsp beats a gassed Conor and I feel like Conor would gas first or just get subbed quickly by gsp on the ground. Does anyone really think Conor can stop a takedown from gsp?

Probably Nate. Conor is incredibly overrated right now. I think most of the LW top ten would beat him handily.

GSP would absolutely destroy him. It would make the beating he gave Penn the second time around look like a...can't think of a good analogy.

Of course, GSP would trounce Diaz too, but Diaz might actually last the full five rounds.

Conor presents more of a threat with his hands.

That said, either guy gets rag-dolled silly by GSP.

Nate can't

Conor could theoretically catch him with his left and ko him. Nate has literally no way to win this fight.

I have to agree with this.

Conor’s chances of landing a lights out are higher than GSP allowing himself to get caught in a sub.

Nate easily. Gsp has faced much harder hitters than Conor and Conor has no ground game. Easy 50-44 or sub for gsp. Conors also got no cardio

I disagree about Nate not having a way, gsp gassed out bad against Bisping and nate throws way more volume and puts more pressure than Bisping does. I could see him coming back in the 4th or 5th round and being able to finish him. Or even possibly winning rounds 3, 4 and 5. Im sure the extra weight played a factor in gsp gassing against bisping but I'm sure it has a lot more to do with his age and his time away.

the only thing is, Bisping was stopping his takedown attempts and he was beating the absolute fuck out of him from the bottom. he's also much larger and GSP was much larger.

GSP at 155lbs is going to be lean as hell and GSP already beat Nick who is like the better version of Nate at 170lb.

the only way i see Nate winning is if the weight cut is absolutely brutal and diminishes GSP greatly otherwise Nate's getting smotherfucked for 5.

Nate.

GSP would destroy both. Not interested in seeing him fight either

Conor obviously. GSP had troubles with a southpaw in Hendricks.

GSP still steamrolls him though.

Conor by a mile. That KO/TKO threat is real....but GSP and his size and his wrestling is probably too much.

I would never say easily .... but yeah gsp has faced harder hitters than Conor, just not sure how his chin would be at such a low weight that's the thing. The probability of Conor landing flush is greater than nate catching gsp in a sub I think sooooo... maybe Conor would be a more dangerous fight for GSP but Nate might be the tougher fight.

Nate...
McGregor gasses and gets finished 10/10 times.

We don't know what 155 GSP is going to look like, not to mention post-colitis diagnosis... So with that disclaimer, gotta say Conor is the tougher fight.

Nate is a crafty volume puncher, with an endless gas tank and good jits skills.... He is not particularly fast, nor is he known for his explosiveness or power. Standing, Nate is going to have problems, he lacks the power to keep GSP at bay, and he will not be able to fully commit to his striking, because of the takedown threat. On the ground, Nate does not want to be on the ground with GSP, it is the last place he wants to be. Georges will smother Nate, and beat him up. Georges is far too strong, and his relentless attack on the ground is simply the best in the world, at any weight class.

The only avenue that I can see Nate pulling out a victory is to outlast GSP, and hope he gases as the fight goes on... We saw Georges slow against Bisping, and that could have been a disaster... Nate is one of the most durable fighters in the world, and if GSP's gas tank runs dry, Diaz becomes a very real threat.

The difference with Conor is that he has 1 punch KO power, and that is what makes him a threat to anyone he fights, ask Jose Aldo. Conor is also lightning quick with his hands, which makes him dangerous when an opponent like GSP explodes in for the takedown. I don't think there is any real mystery here, GSP is a tactical master and even his dog knows that standing Conor is a threat, but horizontal the Irishman would be like playing with a baby... the trick is going to be getting Notorious on the ground, and that makes him a much bigger threat than Nate.
