Still mad about Buckley dying when he did. A lot of the others on this list had a handful of albums to show off their talents, but Jeff just got to do ONE, and while it was pretty great, we all understood that the next three or four from him would be frickin' legendary... and then he went and randomly drowned.

Just listen to his singing on this cut, damn...

Hendrix, Biggie and Aivicii stand out from this list for me personally

Tough picks. I picked Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix, Biggie, and Kurt Cobain. Damn, I missed Ronnie Vanzant. I would have picked him too.

I put Buddy Holly, Hank William's, Jimi and Otis.

Buddy Holly had such an incredible impact on modern music. He has so many iconic songs.

He was only 22 when he died in that plane crash.

My God, if he had lived...

(From Wiki)

During his short career, Holly wrote and recorded several songs. He is often regarded as the artist who defined the traditional rock-and-roll lineup of two guitars, bass, and drums. He was a major influence on later popular music artists, including Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, The Hollies (who named themselves in his honor), Elvis Costello, Marshall Crenshaw (who later played Holly), and Elton John. He was among the first artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 1986. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 13 in its list of "100 Greatest Artists".

Went with Janis Joplin, Aaliyah, Amy Winehouse & Jimi Hendrix.

Holly
Hendrix
Allman
Tupac

Morrison and Biggie are right up there too.

1. Hendrix
2. Cliff Burton-huge reason Metallica went from a thrash band to Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. He was a huge influence on James Hetfield
3. Cobain
4. Jim Morrison--a soft fourth, more of a poet, entertainer, philosopher

I picked

Buddy Holly
Tupac
Cobain
Hendrix

My runner up was Joplin - I would have picked Burton if he was on there.

mac miller could rap and play several instruments
