What's the purpose of these things?! I have to wear one every day at work and I hate them. It's supposed to be professional and classy and blah blah blah when you get down to it its just a long piece of fabric that serves no purpose.

The damn thing flails in the wind, gets shut in drawers and basically makes me a walking bulls eye for the scranton strangler.

Completely useless imo.

Ties are awesome. What are you some kind of barbarian?

Ya I agree. I don't like dressing up at all. I find it funny how some companies have such a strict dress code because you have to look a certain way to be taken seriously. I think those days are gone! Granted you cant look like a hobo but 3 piece suit is not necessary.

People who needed their collars bound

I agree with TS. Same goes for all formal clothes. It has no real value. Who was the first asshole who thought up of the idea of dressing formally? I only believe in the formality of ones actions, but not clothes. I only dress formally for jobs, interviews and other ocassions, but never do I believe that the clothes are actually formal.

Obviously you do if you wear them for special occasions.

Never been into ties, I mean unless it's a goofy one with Star Wars on it or something but even then, I just don't ever wear them.

I hate that Men's Warehouse guy. "I guarantee it!" go fuark yourself man

Someone that tried to make autoerotic asphyxiation fashionable.

Did a damn good job

they're leashes if you HAVE to wear them

I wear 'em sometimes under a sweater/sweater vest when I feel all dressy dressy.

I only wear them to funerals.

Totally agree TS. Ties need to go away.
