See how @Falsedawn completely ignores comments about her appearing in CNN and NBC headline articles, how she is touted by feminist sources with millions of followers (see: Women's Rights News, Everyday Feminism, Jezebel) as someone to emulate and admire, and immediately rushes to make it all about just "you guys" wanting to "talk about her"? Restaging the narrative to downplay her impact so he can make it seem like it's unreasonable to be concerned with her popularity. This is the type of disingenuous, self serving, partisan hack posting I was referring to.

Some people give a shit about the people who the popular media and popular social movements of our times are telling our kids to be like. Shitposters like this guy swoop in and try and distract from this honest and completely reasonable concern over people like Dunham being public figures. And see again, this hack of a poster puts out totally false pretenses.

First, "just change the channel" as if the only media source kids have access to is what they see on TV. Seriously, you couldn't read the news about the latest presidential election without seeing stuff about the brave young feminist Lena Dunham campaigning with the first women president to be! But all we have to do is change the channel and Dunham and those pushing her suddenly goes away...

Second "This is some safe space shit" - so suddenly, it's asking for a "safe space" to be concerned about figures that the popular media is pushing on our kids. Something tells me if David Duke was being touted by the popular media, being talked about by kids at school, showing up on websites they look at, this poster wouldn't be so flippant about "Just change the channel"...

Third, "every fucking thread I open!"... *looks at front page* Ok, the gross, stupid hyperbole in this point is just obvious. Dunham is rarely on the first page here and I doubt we get more than a weekly thread about her - in fact, I'd bet on far less on average. Maybe this guy should take his own advice - "just change the channel." If you don't like hearing about Dunham, just don't visit threads focused on her? He seems to think it's so damned easy to just "change the channel" and completely cut her out of our kids' mediasphere, yet he seems unable to not fall ass backwards into all these Dunham threads. Putin obviously, Dunham's a dangerous dictator. You go against her, even just as a reporter, and you end up dead from Polonium poisoning. I don't like they way she's been cheating at athletics doping wholesale and she likes to invade her neighbours. So Putin's the obvious choice - a fair and great leader with no faults.
 
Dunham proclaimed that she would move to Canada for sure if Hillary doesn't win.

I respect Putin more but I really wouldn't want my country being known for its exploitation at the hands of a former intelligence agent and his clique of insiders.
