Who would you pick in a rematch between Holly and Miesha?

I'd probably go with Holly. That was the 1st time she fought a skilled wrestler and she was 2 minutes away from winning the fight. Miesha has nothing for Holly on the feet.

Miesha needed perfect timing to duck under Holly's punches and get those 2 takedowns. In a rematch I think Holly can probably make the adjustments and avoid the takedowns+subs better.

Yeah, Holly would be the favorite IMO, but I'm glad she lost. Her only exciting UFC fight was against Ronda who has never had a boring fight. I do acknowledge that her last fight was exciting, but the exciting part was her losing. Just my opinion

I think Holly would learn a lot from the last fight and edge out Miesha. Same as GSP when he lost his first title defense to Serra. Won't be surprised if she become champion again.

50/50. Holly by decision or Miesha by Sub. We've already seen all but two minutes of what a Holly win would look like, so why bother?

Rather throw us some new matchups: Tate/Nunes and Holm/Shevchenko.

That is a tough call. Tate gets better every fight. And I bet Holly will too. As wrong as this sounds, both those girls have balls!

I would not lay a bet down on their rematch.

Miesha wins again. Holly can't rely on point-fighting her way to victory now that she's the challenger again, and any extra aggression on her part just means more opportunities for Miesha to exploit for takedowns. The first fight showed that Meisha can afford to be less cautious about Holly's striking, allowing her to apply more calculated pressure tactics and less waiting around. Both of them are good at preptime and in-fight adjustments, so that's a wash.

.Holly via KO.

Honestly, I wasn't exactly riveted by the first one, so if it doesn't come about, I'll survive. I'm more intrigued by Tate vs Roussey III, or HH vs Ronda II, because I know they'll actually engage.

With Tate vs HH II they may each be even MORE tentative, and God knows nobody wants to see 25 minutes of that.

Holly all day works on her choke defense comes back with fire in her eyes and retires that fucking cry baby

Holly. She was two minutes away from victory and made an error. I think, with her team behind her, Holly can learn from that defeat and come back with the skills to avoid what Meisha has to offer.

I don't think Meisha has many more tricks up her sleeve.

I don't mean to take anything away from Meisha, she won and my hat is off to her, but I think Holly dropped the ball. Meisha had the skill to capitalize on that mistake.

Holly, before you all say she's a boring fighter she has 1 finish in 4 UFC fights whereas Miesha has 1 in 7, they're both point fighters the only difference is Holly does it standing and Miesha LnPs.

I'd favour Tate. She keeps getting better every fight.

Smh DW wanted her to retire.

Holly. I thought the only way Tate would win was by a rear naked or maybe guillotine and props to her for being able to pull it off. Holly comes from a good camp and would be well prepared for that next time.

I'd go with Holm as well.
I'd like to see her go for takedowns off her own. Some ground and pound. She was clearly the stronger fighter in there, reversing each and every clinch, stuffing 7 takedowns. Plus, Tate has not shown submission skills from her back that much.
The TDs landed, especially the one in the snd round was perfectly timed. She couldn't have stopped that off her own strike.
Although she must be aware that even with her TDD, it is possible to get her down, and show more urgency to get back to her feet.

Heck, she was 60 secs away from victory the first time.

If Holly fights a bit smarter she takes it 9 times out of 10.

She just got too comfortable at the end and paid for it.

Tate wouldn't be as tentative the second time it would be a quick finish if it goes to the ground ,the one thing Holly had was the unknown factor .She wouldn't have that in a rematch and waas lucky to get out of rnd 2 the first time.
