And going by MCU feats alone, he's much more powerful than Captain Marvel. I think the only two that can rival him are Wanda and Thor if he ever decides to stop fucking up.

Yup. That's why he and Tony formed the Illuminati in the Comics, along with Namor, Reed Richards, Black Panther and Professor X. They're all heroes, but they can all be ruthless bastards when they have to.

Hmmm. Ironman' speech at the end about alien races could be a hint Shi'ar empire is next to feature. A conflict where diplomancy instead of brute force is the key to victory would be quite satisfying.

In the comics The Avengers is a rotating cast. I see Black Panther replacing Iron Man as the rich genius of the group m(his sister being the genius). Captain Marvel could be the muscle. Throw in The Wasp, she's an original Avenger in the comics.

Cap wasn't that great a character until Winter Soldier. Neither was Thor til his third movie. Hulk to this day isn't even strong enough to carry his own movie. Don't get me started on Black Widow. I like her, just not as a main Avenger.

I think you're overvaluing the original cast. Iron Man was carrying the franchise for a while. The journey is what made these characters great. So you have to think of this as starting over with an entirely new journey.

I am not understanding the hatred for Cap 1? It's the origin of Captain America. It's practically perfect considering it retains the majority of his comic book roots. As a purist this is as awesome as it gets...

explain please... what did you not like about Captain America?!

Like I said, it was forgettable. I never had any desire to re-watch any part of it.

I like the movie pretty well but I think the last third is not nearly as good as the first two thirds, except the very end with him waking up in modern day was cool, when he's mostly saddened because he missed his date with Peggy. Compared to the other phase 1 origin movies it's not as good as Iron Man 1, but much better than Thor 1 imo. Certainly nowhere near as good as the second and third Cap movies.

Doctor Strange is fucking awesome. Loved his first movie(especially in 3D)and looking forward to the sequel. Cumberbatch is perfect casting in the role.

And thank you all in the UK for keeping some demand for 3D Bluray releases. It's horrible how home 3D was slowly tortured to almost death.

I could potentially see Strange's films ending up like the Captain America sequels, he's not really a giant draw in himself so theres less to lose by making his films something less self contained.

I'd imagine what Marvel will really be looking for though is a leading pair who can play off of each other the way Downey Jnr and Evans could. Basically personally wise I think Strange and Black Panther seem like the closest equivalent(the arrogant pragmatist and the straight laced hero) but we haven't seen them interact much.

I wouldn't be surprised if Captain Marvel isn't involved on earth much, she seems a Superman like problem being overpowered to the degree it will limit threat, at least Strange has now lost the time stone. She would seem to be a better linkup with the Guardians and Thor to me and perhaps Marvel operate two big plots now? one on earth and one "cosmic"?
