Who would you consider an “Elite Striker” in the UFC?

He's better point fighting, once Pereira changes gears and brings the pressure and tries to finish Izzy - he has been able to do so. Izzy has one gear and tries to fight at that gear throughout the whole fight. Pereira can change gears and so far Izzy can't keep up with Pereira when he turns it up.

Pereira is a tank and plods all night, doesn't really get tired and his gear change is like half a gear, but its enough to continue tanking and walk down the tired fighter. Had Izzy not calculated like shit in the 5th round throwing a hard telegraphed low kick which Pereira checked extremely well he could have moved enough for 5 more minutes. That didn't happen though, he shat the bed and got walked down and finished.

Jan is definitely up there.

He's pretty much outstruck all the strikers he's fought except Prime Thiago Santos, whom he was even with before bumrushing like a fool.

When it comes to grapplers who pose the takedown threat, he's had difficulty in the striking but still performed well. For example he wrecked Corey Anderson in their rematch via striking and negating the wrestling. But then lost to Glover's striking due to the Threat of takedown.

Jan was uncharacteristic in that Santos fight.

He's outstruck Izzy, Rakic, Ankaleaev, Gustaffson, and Reyes.

Yet when the best striker in the UFC comes up - he's never brought up. It's criminal.

I'll say Alex Pereira...that insanely powerful left hook is enough to make him the best striker right now.

Islam's TD threat makes his striking way more effective so in a sense his striking is one of the best (not talking pure striking which is overrated)

Lol Islam def not a top striker at all

They don't extensively train one single aspect so no they wouldn't fair well against the best of boxing or kickboxing. You take the best kickboxer or boxer and he isn't going to look good against any well rounded top 5 mmatist either. Get it?
Plenty of BJJ & wrestling guys whove competed with the best in those sports. Whats apparent is the room for growth in striking. Im almost certain striking in 50 years will be at the point where MMA could compete with professional strikers.
