meaning the Bisping vs Silva fight of course..

i dislike both guys and i enjoyed seeing both of them getting floored by the other, but i feel like Silva let that fight slip away from is hands bigtime. He just basically needed to stand over Bisping and touch his head and Herb would have stopped the fight. He broke his nose, smashed his face overall Bisping looked like a mess while Androstanon had nothing.

i think if i had seen that fight in the streets and someone would have broken them up after 25 min i would have thought that Androstanolon Silva won that fight.

If it was a street fight it would have been over at the flying knee.

Anderson, the same guy who would have won under Pride scoring. But I think Bisping won it fair and square under modern scoring.

There need to be more 10-8 rounds, basically most rounds with a clear winner should be 10-8. 10-9 rounds should only be for rounds that had a winner but were very close, and rounds with a clear winner but a lack of overall output by either fighter. Most rounds we currently score 10-8 should be 10-7, with some being 10-6's. I'd go as far as to say that some rounds currently scored 10-9 should be scored 10-7.

Another way to look at it is that the winner of a round should get between 1 and 5 points:

1: won the round, but barely / with little action
2: competitive round, but a clear winner with a decent amount of output
3: clear winner, nearly dominant performance, might have had the other fighter hurt
4: clear winner, dominant, good output and damage, probably had other fighter hurt
5 (e.g. 10-5): A rare, one-sided beatdown (think Stipe / Hunt or Siver / Phan).

That's because one "3" round should be worth three "1" rounds.

Who would have won if it was a tennis match?

If I had seen that fight in a tennis match I would assume that they were both disqualified and thus both lose.

Who cares. MMA is not a street fight, it is not supposed to simulate a street fight. Everything would have played out differently from the very beginning if it was a street fight, it is pointless to pretend otherwise. Maybe this sport is not for you, I suggest you stop watching and cease posting here, perhaps worldstar is a better site for you.

If it was a street fight -- or hell, even a Pride fight -- Bisping would've stomped Anderson's head in after the knockdown.

But the question is futile and idiotic.

If it was a street fight in the US then both guys would've been arrested and Anderson would've been shot 16 times.

I would take Bisping 9/10 times in a street fight....

Stuff like this makes me appreciate the current system more.
Good thing you have no say.

Silva would have won if it was PRIDE rules, Bisping wins under 10-9 must system. Why ask for street fight outcome? Depends what weapons are on hand and if their homies are with them.

silva won the fight, bisping won the sport aspect of point fighting, is what it is its a sport at the end of the day they competed in

Silva would win a street fight with no rules. Bisping won the MMA contest fair and square though.

Silva. Street fights are based solely off Damage.

After watching a lot of videos on the internet, I'm pretty confident in saying that Brazlilians usually bring much better weapons to their street fights than English people.

Anderson wins via machete blows.

Let's not pretend round by round is any more modern than scoring a fight as a whole. Other than that I agree with most of what you said.

No one. It would have been pulled apart by their handlers. They're prize fighters.

If it was a street fight it would have been over at the flying knee.
Incorrect. There would likely have been no flying knee because Bisping would not have had a mouthpiece to lose, nor a referee to look to, thereby taking his eyes away from Anderson, leading to the flying knee.
