Who would dominate today under the OLD rules?

Not totally the Old rules - would be weight divisions , gloves mandatory, and no groin shots, and a 20 min time limit - but everything else the same.

Does anyone see any real changes as to who is on top and the GOATS of the the divisions as opposed to the way things have shaped up today assuming all the fighters that fight today would of fought under those insane rules?

I got into being a MMA fan a little late - like 8 years ago but got addicted quick so most of you all have been following the sport a lot longer and have much better insight into what the divisions might look like if it went back to the Thunderdome type rules. Any idea's on who would be main guys ?

He is a modern fighter but with the old agressive style.

UFC 1 rules would be Jones and Browne. Jones can cheat even now, imagine with those rules.

Mostly the same champs I think. Wrestlers like Cormier, Mighty Mouse, Tate, and Rockhold (not as good offensive wrestling, but when he does get on top) would be even more devastating with headbutts allowed. Cruz might wrestle more and actually try to hold people down if he could do this.

People without TDD would be in worlds of trouble so that Conor hater actually may have a point lol.

Most wrestlers would become more exciting. But also I wonder if takedown defense would become more effective as in wrestlers would be putting themselves in a lot more danger shooting in.

I don't know about that a lot of these guys now are far more skilled then the old-timers but I would love watching Wandy under those rules and anyone else.
