There's a Quote that says "If you don't love me even at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best" MMA Fans always be fickle, when someone losses they all be like "they were never that good" "they were overrated" "They're washed" this and that (just like when Whittaker just recently lost to DDP).
And while Gane and Rose had an absolutely disappointing and an embarrassing outcome in their latest fights, with Rose losing to Carla again by a SD in a snoozefest (after 8 years of their first fight with Carla submitting Rose in round 2 to win the title and halt Rose's goals of becoming youngest UFC Champion) and getting submitted in the first round by Gillian who isn't even ranked in the UFC in a grappling 'bout, and Gane losing in a devastating fashion to the returning Jon who was making his HW debut and hasn't fought for 3 years and had 2 close bouts at LHW in his last fights, and Jon is an old guy in his fighting years.
But to me, between Rose and Fiorot, let the better fighter win, if Rose losses then she's in a very tough spot cause like that, she would have lost her Flyweight debut along with having a terrible 2022, and kinda same thing with Fiorot if she lost (but not really cause there wouldn't be no shame in losing to a GWOAT like Rose) cause let's say if Gane losses, there's gotta be a French superstar between Gane and Fiorot who are the headliners of this event to win, and for Gane, he is the one that's in the tougher spot, cause if he losses, 2023 would've been the worst year of his whole entire fighting career, with losing to Jon in which many thought it would be Jon's toughest fight but Gane lost too quickly, and Jon just needed 1 last highlight reel to be the GOAT, and it was Gane, and also, losing to a rising contender and fail to protect his top ranking spot from a guy who's ranked a lot lower than him, and like that, his title contention days would be over.
So with these 2 having their backs against the wall in their upcoming bouts (Because they're still young in their fighting years but had terrible last nights that made their fans turn their backs on them and people considering them that they should stop fighting already, which would be a waste cause they're still young and in they're in their 30's), at least something's gotta give as at least someone has to win, so if there's 1 of them is gonna win, which you think is gonna win? and which one do you want to win in their upcoming bouts?
Discuss.
