In other words, the dude was already alive BEFORE the entire terminator 2 thing happened.

So lets put this in a time line:

1. Sarah Connor is born
2. Sarah Connor lives her life

- Sarah was a waitress in the original movie. In the second movie she was locked up in a psyche ward so the babies daddy came between that time frame.

The original dad came before she was locked up unless you assume she was sexed up during captivity and the child was born and raised to teen years all while she was locked up? No way.

3. Original movie - Sarah is a waitress, no kids and not prego
4. ????

5. T2 and John is alive and well and Sarah is in a Psyche ward but she has never met Kyle Reese and he hasn't come from the future yet so John was the product of some other dude prior to Kyle Reese
