Who was impressed with Ragin Al

Though a clear defeat I thought it was an impressive showing none the less, was surprised when they showed the stats thought it looked like a lot closer fight watching live. Both guys were prepared for totally different style opponents so what can we really expect

He did a great job and exposed a weakness in Khabib's game. Namely that if you're a solid striker with a good chin that he can't hit hard enough to force you out of a low stance designed to stifle his grappling game.

I feel like Conor has more of a chance to win this match up than I did before the Iaquinta match. Khabib looked mortal.

I was as impressed with him as I was with Kyle Bochniak. I thought he was great at blocking 200 jabs with his face and getting mauled on the ground.

I was impressed he did decent defending takedowns and gettingback up and escaping submissions. I was losing it 3rd and 4th rounds when he was just eating jabs for free. 5th round I really thought Al was gonna get the knockout though

He put the pressure on khabib instead of running with was good(saved him in a couple of rounds from being ragdolled) but he was way to hesitant and managed to get outboxed by the worst striker in the division, was likely because of short notice but I was not impressed at all.

You do realize because of Al's stance and him always waiting for the shot it exposed his face to jab party. It didnt expose anything.

considering he had only been training for a 3 round fight against a mostly standup fighter in felder.

There was nothing to be impressed about unless you're a Khabib fan trying to spin the win better. Al looked terrible in there, even in the striking periods where he was supposed to look good.

Me and everyone at my Buffalo Wild Wings. We were shocked that Al survived the first 2 rounds without getting mauled by GnP. And even though he got jabbed to death in R3 and R4, he denied a bunch of takedowns by switching his stance. Feel like his performance will teach coaches and fighters more about how to deal with Khabib.

Of course he wasn't prepared. it was 24hrs notice. If Al didn't fight with that low defensive stance then he wouldn't of been able to stop the take downs.

One day notice. Fighting a 25-0 fighter. Didn’t train for a 5 round fight. Yet it went to a decision.

If you don’t admire that. You’re a bit of an asshole. The guy that got stripped wouldn’t have lasted 10 minutes. And everybody knows it. He got whooped but, went the distance.
