I would say shields in both peak and resume. He has some great wins. He dominated Dan Henderson for example. His grappling was suffocating.

Probably Shields since he was morr accomplished but Fitch was no joke and he had most of his career in the UFC unlike Shields, honestly I'm not sure who wins prime for prime.

I will say Shields. Maybe I am biased because I couldn't stand watching Fitch fight, every fight was on loop, deja vu, it was the same fight over and over again. He was really hard to watch.

Plus, he stole a round from Prime GSP, which is quite the achievement, while Fitch was at the end of one of the less competitive fight that ended up in decision (GSP's Magnum Opus IMO; he 50-43 him)
