Anyone on here use thai oil for fighting/sparring/training? How good do you find it? I personally love the stuff, cant live without it. Nothing comes close for warming the muscles and easing the shins for a hard training session or fight!

nam mun muay is the shit. gotta be careful when massaging your stomach and thighs because it has a way of creeping up (or down) to the peen and that is a killer

how much is this stuff in the states? im thinking of shipping back a hundred bottles and selling some

If it weren't for Namman I'd have a lot more sleepless nights under my belt. Not just for the shins, but on the thighs after taking a beating.

The cost depends on where you get it. I always buy mine at the temple my wife family attends and I get it for about $7 a bottle. I've seen it on Fairtex website for 24$ or 27$! You can make a nice amount of cash on it though at muaythai fights but under cutting the competition if they even have it and if they don't, charge what you want.

Its $7 here
Muay Thai Liniment / Massage Oil 60 ml. [LI-002]

Do you guys apply it before or after you warm up? I heard it works better when you've already warmed up as when your sweating your pores are open and absorb it better, not sure if theres any truth to this...opinions?

When I'd used it in Thailand I felt it didn't really get the job done as well as tigerbalm RED. However since it is in oil form, it was easier to apply to larger areas of the body. People still using cryogel now-a-days? if so, how is it...I have some samples , but havent used it yet.

I bring back a bunch every year. They cost 60 baht in Thailand and I resell them for $10.

For myself, I like the 5 dragon brand green balm better though.

Also check out Kwan Loong Oil

damn that is a nice profit. I need to start making a list of "shit to haul back a suitcase full of whenever I visit asian countries"

woah never saw that before, thanks for the link Ryukyu, gonna have to give this stuff a try and see how it holds up to tiger balm ^^

How does the Kwan Loong stuff compare to the Namman in your opinion?

which is a major ingredient in naam muay (and other heating oils) is actually very toxic (as is menthol oil), so don't use too much...I remember feeling terrible (like having a major heart burn) after applying some of the stuff on my leg repeatedly...maybe I'm sensitive, but now I prefer to use capsica
