Conors issue is he cannot face adversity, he is scared. He would rather turn and give his back or drop to the floor, heavy hitter or not, if someone is piecing Conor up, his only options are to panic wrestle and give back, get taken down and give back or drop and give jaw.
He dos not have the cardio to close distance and clinch and grapple someone, we saw that with Doostin. How many times did he catch his leg and didn't engage, he knows he cant engage as he will gas.
Agree somewhat but not entirely... it again reminds me of Tyson detractors (not saying Conor is anywhere near the fighter Tyson is but still, an analogy) who said Tyson always lost if anyone fought back, which is not true at all - take for example his two wars with Razor Ruddock; a big puncher who clocked him and smashed fists with fists all day long.
Same with Conor - he hasn't faced as much, but Nate certainly didn't back down and Conor definitely got caught a lot, he fought back... and what about the Mendes fight; Mendes had him on the ground and pounded his skull to hell, then Conor came back and won. So he has faced adversity and come back before.
