Who Started Ugly Chest Tattoos?

Ever since the Goat got a gorilla I have been noticing horrible chest tats everywhere. Just saw a thread with a chick chest tatt. Just don't tell Diego Sanchez to put a yes/dream/nightmare/jesus collage on his chest because he might actually do it. :P

So who officially started the horrible chest tattoo craze in the mma world? Kimo? Does the Goat really look up to Kimo?

I don't know who exactly started it, but speaking generally as someone with many (bad) tattoos, I can tell you that people with horrible tattoo ideas don't usually think they're horrible, at least at first. Sometimes it's just an impulse that should have been ignored. Sometimes it's a reflection of tastes they have since outgrown. Sometimes they are completely divorced from reality and actually think their bad ideas are good. Sometimes they have a good idea, but it is executed poorly by the artist.

...But in nearly all cases, they don't give a fuck what you think about it.

his other tattoo is even worse:

I'm guessing it was some kind of prison retribution?

This. I've just recently covered up childhood tattoos of a shitty looking mushroom on my arm, a playboy bunny on my chest and Big Pimpin.....yeah that's right, Big Pimpin on my stomach. I should've been on tattoo nightmares because these monstrosities were hideous and disgraceful.

I've got to disagree here.

Tattoos are sooo for other people to see.

Well, maybe to an extent. But there's a definite element of defiance in them because anyone with them is aware that many people make judgments based on them. So with that, let me rephrase what I said earlier:

They don't care if you hate it.
