    If Davis loses, he fights Shogun
    If Magalhaes loses, he fights the loser of Bader/Soszynski.

    That would have probably been the appropriate fight instead of Sonnen vs. JBJ.

    I think Davis is above the standard gatekeeper fighters, but his fight vs. Evans proved he still had a ways to go. He looked like Ben Saunders when he fought against Fitch. He had nothing to offer in return.
