The first two are well established - GSP and Khabib whichever order you want to put them in. Who is the third best?

I would put Jones as 3rd. Recently he hasn't been amazing in that aspect but he outgrappled the best of them once.

Cormier is up there. Who else would you put over Jones/Cormier?

The issue with Khabib is that we've never seen him grapple vs actually good grapplers, fighters who have a well rounded grappling game. GSP we have and was pretty dominant. To this day I still question if Khabib would be just as good vs guys like Bendo, Edgar, Alverez, Chandler, Ferguson on the ground.

Maia maybe. Nog was 1998-2010, but then again Fedor went into his wheelhouse and dominated him, so....
I dont consider Maia up there because his tds are not that great. He was completely lost against Colby, Woodley and Usman. His BJJ is as good as gets but he is not a great overall grappler mo.

Jon is the goat.
Never been on his back for longer than few seconds.

There is no issue with Khabib, we've already seen hi against D1 wrestler and bjj black belts that looked like absolute bums. GSP I would argue is actually a lesser grappler due to not submitting cans like Hardy. More proven against better wretlers but lesser in terms of bjj.

I think you mean “wrestling”. His grappling is great but his wrestling not so much.

He did live or die by his single leg, for sure.
