My choice would go to Ben Foster. He's had great roles in films like Hell or High Water, 3:10 to Yuma, Aplha Dog, Lone Survivor and Histage yet he rarely gets the recognition he deserves.

great choice. He's always fantastic. I always thought he was like the non pussy version of the guy in Breaking Bad.

He is great in the mechanic

Can Sam Rockwell still be considered underrated??

Kathryn Winnick,

the kid that plays Ivar the Boneless

and Jonathan Rhys Meyers

Especially JRM. You think he get bigger roles after tudors. He is a like a better looking version of Tom Hardy. What did Hardy ever do? He just started as Picard's Clone in that ST Nemesis movie.

I agree!

I’ve always really liked Ben Foster and that scene was great. I can’t come up with anything better than this. Always enjoyed his movies.

Ben Foster is great but he does get high billing in his movies now. Garret Dillahunt is more underappreciated if you ask me.

John C Mcginley I think is very underrated

For a very, very long time he was among the most underrated and unfairly unknown character actors in the game. Now, unfortunately everyone knows him as "the guy from Scrubs" but at least everyone knows him.

Kind of reminded me of when Kurtwood Smith finally became a star as "the Dad from That 70s Show."

Peter Mensah
Messenger from 300 and Onemanous is Spartacus. Also has GOAT name Peter.

Miles Teller.

Whiplash,Only the Brave,Thank You for Your Service, and Bleed For This, he's great in. War Dogs is a guilty pleasure movie I enjoy too. I know he can have a punchable face at times, but if he's doing somewhat serious roles, I really enjoy his acting.

In all seriousness, John Hawkes

And Oscar Issac

are a couple that I'd consider underrated.

Though Oscar Issac has somewhat blown up a bit the last couple years.

He's sooo bad at acting though. His mannerisms never change from role to role.

Underrated actor of this era is probably Andrew Garfield or Armie Hammer.

This could be a fun thread
I also want to add, the dad from wonder years Dan Lauria
I also thought he did the best job playing a dad and was able to connect with everyone with feelings about their own dad or someone like a dad, it’s too bad he kind of faded

Dude is a damn fine actor but got typecast for comedy roles after Scrubs.

He held that show together during lulls in later seasons. GOAT.

He was fantastic in his early supporting roles. He changed into completely different people depending on the film. Platoon, Point Break, etc. For Surviving the Game, he created a character WAY more detailed and original than required for that type of film.
