I voted gsp, but I'm actually very impressed that Fedor is winning this poll.

God,Fedor is as good at winning GOAT polls as he is at pulverizing temples and cheekbones with those USSR chernobyl fueled lunchboxes he has for fists.

Fedor

-No cheating
-No losses to cans
-Finished fights
-Didn't concede a round in 10 years (unlike Jones, GSP, Silva)
-Second most top wins at HW (behind Nog only)
-7 years straight ranked #1 (longest ever)
-Never got outstruck in his prime (unlike Silva, Jones, GSP)
-10 year domination in the most dangerous divison
-Didn't need to cut weight
-Only lost when he was out of prime (visibly slowed down, coaches said he wasn't the same before Werdum)
-Didn't have bad style match ups
-Silva took more damage against Sonnen, GSP took more damage against Serra and Jones took more damage against Gus than Fedor did in 10 years.
Fedor is currently cheating. Stayed in Japan so he could cheat. Came to the U.S. and got blasted. Went back to Asia to cheat. Especially in the Maldonado fight.

Voted other.

Sugar Ray Robinson
173 wins
108 KO
91 fight win streak
85-0 amateur record
1 death via 1 punch KO
WW and MW champion
Inspiration for the term "Pound for Pound"
Not really fair to include boxers my man, if you do an MMA fighter doesn't break the top ten.

someone pointed out that he came to the usa and got destroyed but he actually won 4 fights here before he started to lose....and as far as boxers being "greater" and "MUCH more impressive" no i disagree.

Boxers are fighting in a more competitive landscape for what they do,but they dont have to worry about 360 spinning back leg kicks to the dome,or defending double legs, and watching out for submissions. Hell there isnt even a ref to pause the action when they get their bell rung. I dont really care to make a fight which is better, but if someone wants to dismiss MMA i got something for ya.

also any wrestler beats them. You dont even need to know how to box to beat a boxer.

It's harder to succeed as a boxer than an MMA fighter, and it is harder to be a good boxer than a good MMA fighter.

I voted for Anderson on the basis that I have enjoyed his career far more than any of the other choices. That's including his unfortunate downward trend.

GSP, Fedor/Aldo since the rest have been tainted as cheaters. If Bones never popped I would have picked him.

The margin of error is smaller, and its more competitive. Im sure the margin of error is even smaller in other sports. Im sure other sports are even more competitive. Do fans of those sports get to shit all over boxers unopposed?

You're boring me. I'm not "shitting all over" MMA fighters I'm keeping it real.

Also, any wrestler takes down a boxer in 2 seconds and pulls his pants down and makes them humble in old country way

they dont know to tap,so its a long night for them

In addition to Fedor's great career, he was just such a cool person. Never really had anything bad to say about anybody, respected each and every opponent he fought. Always fought fair win or lose, always gave respect win or lose. But to really understand Fedor's legacy you need to have the historical perspective of that era in MMA.

To be perfectly honest. With what was going on in pride that we know now. All of these dudes pride records are tainted. I hate to say it cause I loved pride. But they allowed steroids and people threw fights.

I think thats a shitty way to look at this. First of all,you know nothing about what people took, there is plenty you dont know. Both fighters could have been using the same thing. It was legal,so there is nothing tainted. If the ufc legalized steroids, how many fighters do you think would take them,so they dont have to pull out of fights? If they used PED's to heal injuries it would explain why everyone could fight every two months, which they dont anymore. If you want to think that taints their legacy thats on you. I think you just use this tainted asterisk bullshit to come up with simple answer to something that is more or less impossible to know. Also, who threw a fight? If i show you a fight can you tell if its real or of its fake? Or are you incapable of that? if so I would stop talking about thrown fights.
