Even including Russia, Im going to stick with Crocop. I dont want to say "Fedor was never that good" but I always felt he was a bit overrated. Had he fought in the UFC (drug testing) then Id give him the nod. Not that Crocop was clean by any stretch of the imagination but he at least had a UFC run. Much like Wandy, Fedor benefited from favorable matchups. Big Nog was a good win but fatass Ricco Rodriguez beat Big Nog in Japan and was robbed by the judges.

Even if you exclude Fedor, I would still go with Overeem.

He's one of more credentialed combat sport athletes in history

Dude has made an absolute dick out of himself in recent years but I don't see how it's not Conor.

This is a thread about greatest fighter, not greatest self-promoter.

Fedor but Cro Cop of course has a very believable argument to be made for him - especially with his last run late-UFC after it with the vengeance tour and in general getting shit done all around the world. 50/50, to be honest while Fedor is the initial pick before stopping to appreciate late Cro Cop and the gutters Fedor has been since his return from retirement.

Overeem's accolades lie way too much outside of MMA for proper consideration. Still bueno.
