I got inspired by this post, which includes arguably the best heavyweights of all major combat sports right now:

So, who’s the baddest man on the planet at this moment?

Videos highlighting the rise to the top of all four champions:

“The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury:

Jon “Bones” Jones:

“The King of Kickboxing” Rico Verhoeven:

Francis “The Predator” Ngannou:

It will always be Badr Hari

does rico even fight anymore? been a while

Styles make fights… enough with the revisionism bud. Jon is a proven cheater who waited 3 years for Francis to leave before moving up
Oh please, after Francis fought Gane half the site was talking about how Gane should have won or in fact did win and was robbed.

Then Jon smashed Gane in their fight and all of a sudden he was a perfect matchup but at the same time somehow Francis is a terrible matchup even though they end up presenting basically the same problems while having the same shortcomings.

Francis showed good Tdd and decent grappling vs Stipe.

You can't compare him to Gane who literally imploded vs Jones

I don't know where you saw half the site saying Gane was robbed. It clearly did not happened outside one salty Gane fanboy.
Unanimous decision, with a 49-46. And 22 of 23 medias scored it for Ngannou, 6 of then 49-46
Even Gane knew he had lost before the verdict, not once did he or his team say they were robbed.

Unlike...Jones vs Reyes, where people make thread about it 3 years later. Or Jones vs Santos.

If you think Jon would try to slip any of Francis’ punches to get in close like he did with Gane, showing zero respect for his power then that’s just stupid.. but you are a fan of a cheater.

Only a jealous hater would say anyone other than Jon Jones. He’s way more proven and decorated than Francis and any other current Champion bar none.

Idk if you could really call me a fan of his, I think it’s a damn shame that the best fighter on the planet has to be a scumbag.

Sorry about that I’ll clarify, “should have won” in the sense that he did lose but could have won had he not made some boneheaded mistakes.

Not saying half the site thought he was robbed, but that he was either robbed or could have won with some better decision making in the 5th.

Francis having better tdd is basically the only real argument for why he has a better shot than Gane. Having said that, he is worse than Gane in areas that I think make the fight potentially easier for Jon.

He doesn’t really mix kicks in, throws wild and often launches himself into combinations off balance, he has worse footwork, all those things make him easier to take down.

Everyone in boxing probably picks Fury but we all know that being a great boxer means nothing when you get taken down. We can debate if the baddest man is Ngannou or Jones, but to me it’s an easy pick - Jones is vastly superior to Ngannou whose only greatness is power.

I’m not sure if you watched the fight prior to the “lucky punch” but it was very, very different than the first. Also, in no way, shape or form was it a lucky punch.

Stipe could win a third fight (although I highly doubt it), but your reasoning is beyond ridiculous.
Seriously, I am convinced half of sherdog never actually watched a fight, and just parrot what they read online. Some takes are beyond ridiculous.

Jon Bones Jones and it's not close. He would make mincemeat of Francis. We'll likely never see it but the skill disparity is even greater than the power disparity. Love him or hate him, Jon Jones is the greatest MMA fighter ever and a genuinely special talent.

lmao, talking about revisionism... actually Francis was waiting his contract out because he didn't want to risk losing to Jon, even for $8 million, having hair implants, surgery in his knee, asking for the UFC to end world hunger... anything as long as he didn't have to fight Jones

Wouldn't Pavlovich currently be a favorite against any of those 4 in a no rules 1 vs 1 fight? Either him or Gannou.

Would not fight Jones "even for 8 millions" lmao.
