IDL is a shitposter, but I find him to be compelling. Reading him is like pushing on a loose tooth for me. He's losing it a little, though, as he becomes more of a conventional far-right type.

I don't find him compelling anymore, after I have tried to engage him on his posts so many times, and it always ends up with the same "my secret research" / "who knows, makes you think though!". I could probably write his posts for him verbatim at this point.

Yeah, he has always been a right wing guy though, he is just starting to embrace it and be more open with it, now that he has found more equal minded I think.

JVS and Thames are two posters who I tend to downgrade when prioritizing what posts to read when scanning through.

Yeah, fair. I have been reading him a lot less lately. I like to think I deserve some credit for him slowing down on the constant use of fake quotes and the intellectual graveraping of Orwell (whose big fear was precisely what IDL represents).

This is true if you're a liberal blocking Pan or even Rex or a right-winger blocking Rup or Thames or something. Even TCK brings an interesting perspective, despite his intellectual and moral shortcomings. But I don't think anyone's missing out if they don't see, say, glennrod or LogicalInsanity's posts.

I've seen Thurisaz debate many people and have them look foolish. It's obvious some of that manifests itself when a chance to kick the man presents itself. I'm not buying the supposed reason for his hatred.
