Just curious as to everyone’s opinion as both have one hitter quitters and have enough skill to always land that single shot needed to end a fight. Who in your opinion hits harder?

How can we seriously answer this question though? The fought in diff sports and faced diff opponents.

Usually, when answering silly questions like this one, I go with the boxer bc their punching technique is sharper, hence generating more power.

Ngubu hits hard for sure, but we would need to see him in a boxing ring vs the top boxers of the world to answer the question and, of course, hope for him to hit them clean with a powershot

Foreman due to the level of opponents he knocked out and heavier gloves with more padding. Finishing Frazier x2 and Norton was very impressive, not to mention holding the HW title in in the 70s and 90s. We would need to see Ngannou in big gloves fighting some really durable high level opponents to figure it out. They both hit incredibly hard

It doesn't even look like Foreman put power behind some of his punches. He had really heavy hands

Foreman is considered one of the hardest punchers in boxing. He looks so casual, his punches look so effortless, yet he puts people to sleep with one punch.
Ngannou is more explosive though.
I think Foreman has an advantage in the power department.

In boxing Ngannou wouldn't last 1 minute with Foreman.

Foreman.

Though honestly what kind of "power" are you talking about. If you just tell them to stand back and swing as hard as they possibly can at a stationary target, then I'd have to guess Ngannou has more power simply b/c he is bigger.

But if you are talking about power as far as punching other men who are trying to avoid getting hit I'd say Foreman had faster/sneakier power. Francis has to windup like a windmill to generate his power. Foreman had better technique to generate the power quickly and in tighter spaces.

not regarding Foreman, but compared to Wilder:

Tony Johnson, ACA heavyweight champion:
I've been hit by [Derrick Lewis] and Francis Ngannou. I don't know which one hits harder, Francis or Derrick, but they both hit like frickin' Mack trucks. I've been hit by Deontay Wilder. I've been hit by the hardest hitters in the sport. Deontay tops everyone, but it's close between Francis and Derrick.

yeah, I know

but he's fought Derrick Lewis, Daniel Cormier, Tim Sylvia, Cheick Kongo, Volkov, Minakov, and Aleks Emelianenko (among others)

Foreman KTFO of some bad dudes. But I'm not trying to belittle Ngannou. In such a case I give the benefit of the doubt to the boxer, but I bet either could KO me if they managed to land a few clean shots.

No one fucking KOs you Bro.
We're just too good and tough for these bums.
That's why no sherdogger was ever signed by the UFC. They know what we'd crush their pretty fairies.

Hard to compare because Foreman is punching with pillows on his hands and Ngannou has baby gloves.

Francis gets his knockouts with his left hand, Foreman could kill you with either hand.

Would go Foreman.
