Well, at the time you could not get anything faster than 2X IDE, so you had to get a SCSI, it's just there to fill a slot until DVD-Rs level off....

However, that CD-R had to go to the shop, a month after I bought it, It crapped out on me and I had to wait 6 weeks to get it back: Mother Fuckers, I was so pissed!
