BTW, Khamzat/Islam are both in Abu Dhabi, right? Has Usman/Volk left yet? Everyone says you really need 2 weeks to acclimate from jet lag. Mods: can we get a poll going?

to answer your post- I think Volk has a better chance of upset.

Has to be Volk. First there's only a 10lb difference between his regular weightclass (I know its more % for lighter weights). But we've seen them fight before and it was close. Usman could've just not have been a good matchup with Leon and could return better than we've seen him. But he's coming off losing his own title which mentally messes with some guys. Also Khamzat could be the best fighter we've ever seen, we haven't seen how he performs against the top guys besides Burns.

honestly, both fights are good in paper, except for how Usman and Volk will handle the gas part
Volk won the last portion of his fight x Islam. did he learn from it ? We will see
Since Usman can rassle I believe this fight will be on the stand up for the most part. Lets see how sharp Khamzat striking is.
Im not betting on these, but if I were to, Islam by UD and Khamzat by TKO
As to thread, I believe Usman to have higher chances of beating Khamzat than Volk beating Islam. Too short notice.

Volk is a top 5 ever GOAT still in his prime form and one of toughest physically an mentally I seen in mma..

Usman is well on slide but still best khaz has faced . Isman withstands Khaz Initial blitz its 50/50 .

Volk is by far the better fighter between him.n Usman but he fighting much better talent n is truly off couch. Usman knew this was co ing and is likely prepared.

Sad tho as Volk v Islam 2 was my most wanted fight just not like this when Islam has literally every built in advantage

I don't really gamble. Hypothetically, if they were both pick-em fights, what would the typical odds be for a 2 fight parlay?

They're both underdogs that I think have a 50/50 chance of winning, I'd even pick Usman to win imo

if both were 50/50 the odds/return would be significantly less than +800

Volk has already proven to be around Islam's level, is active, and knows what to expect and where to improve.

Meanwhile Usman is about 100 years old, inactive, bum knees, facing a guy who was expecting a true MW.

Volk's showing up trying to win meanwhile Usman's showing up hoping not to lose.

Fighting an opponent that may have cage rust, has had a little longer to repair.

Volks so good because he prepares well, without preparation he may look terrible. I think he gets pumped. There's so many other external factors any Islam will have an advantage.

His knees have always been that way. He didn’t have issues with his knees with he wrestled Masvidal, Leon or Colby

He had issues wrestling Leon in their last fight. I’m sure it’s mostly attributable to Leon’s preparation, but I also don’t doubt that usman’s lost some of his burst.
