Messing with Haku is definitely the best examples of "when keeping it real goes wrong".

Flair with an honorable mention to Piper. Legend has it Piper was walking down the street with a reporter when a kid ran up asking for an autograph. Piper screamed at the kid to get the hell away and spat on him. After the kid ran off the reporter asked why he didn't just sign the kid's paper. Piper replied that the kid would've probably lost the paper before morning, but he'd always remember that Rowdy Roddy Piper spat on him. Awesome fucking story.

CM Punk is a Sociopathic straight edge atheist jerk
in and out of the ring

lmao came in here to say punk
strightedge jerk full of himself n talkin shit at/about ppl
yeah
(but i still like him :x oops)

Ahmed Johnson. I think he was fired for living as his character.

Something to that effect. He reportedly had trouble distinguishing between "working stuff" and not protecting the other guy. Mabel/Viscera supposedly had the same problem in his first run. Ahmed took it one step further, though, when he started believing that he was the badass in the company because of it. "I beat you for the IC title in Boston. You beat me for it in Tampa but that was a work," line of thinking. Bizarre.

JBL was a bully on screen and off.

I hear Ahmed Johnson literally became his character. Any word on this?

Macho. And it's not even close. The guy lived his gimmick. Never broke character.

Lmao, that's awesome. Reminds me of one of my uncle's friends. Metalheads, born in the late 60s, I guess. Saw a Motorhead show back in the day, went up to Lemmy who was maintaining his shitfacedness at a bar afterwards. Said hi, or bowed, or did whatever metalheads do when they meet God, and Lemmy spit in his face. It was very well received; like, "holy SHIT Lemmy just spit on me, man!!!"

Flair didn't have to get into character before he went infront of cameras or audiences.

He was the character.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned "Dr. D" David Schultz, youngins

even if scripted

Better show up with another beer and a sammich unless she wants to go back to the mid card with #lolziggler

Bret Hart

Big reason why he was so damn great was because he took it so seriously.

What about Sandman? I remember from the Raven feud that he actually wore those eye bandages 24/7, even in his own home.

Ric Flair.

[YT]H8sif1BIeJA[/YT]

That's the real Ric Flair. Nothing contrived or faked there.

New Jack deserves to be mentioned. Guy never gave one fuck in his career.

Brock Lesnar: a beast who doesn't give a crap about anybody and just want to destroy everything in his path

It seems you're more into his gimmick than he himself...

How about Bret hart?

I heard numerous stories how he was really into his wrestling character. Shawn michaels even mentioned or once when they were cutting a shoot style promo
