Haha oh god yeah, you could hear the desperation in his voice when Chuck was heading to a loss. And that was old Dana who was thin, balding and didn’t act like he was a former gangster/MMA champion. And his head was at least half the size back then. I’ve watched that fight many times, it’s a classic.

It’s amazing. Probably one of the clearest examples of steroid abuse I’ve ever seen, his head has ballooned. Take a pic of me 20 years ago compared to now, my head is pretty much the only part of me that hasn’t grown. Coupled with the tough guy scowl, he’s a ridiculous man.

plus you can tell Dana was so arrogant and foolhardy that he was in total shock that Chuck got his ass handed to him. It was as if he had not even considered the possibility. Which is odd if u really think about it

Absolutely, his arrogance was obvious and I really do think that he the thought of a loss hadn’t crossed his mind. It was clear Pride was the number one org at the time, that was why he was there. He could have learned and grew as a man, or he could have become spiteful and vowed to crush all competitors. He did the latter. Still worked out for him, I’m not a fan though and it was not good for MMA.
