Unfortunately, we had the Volkov fight in between, where we watched Cyril lose, yet win.I think Gane has improved since his fight against Jones. He won't be as one dimensional you would think. But we will see soon enough, can't wait.
He was afraid of Ank's power after few exchanges - it was pretty obvious. Ank ate all of his shots, and Alex couldn't... Not sure why, but seems Alex's power in hands is not enough against Ank, he is tougherAlex needs to open up more with his hands. He only threw like 11 sig strikes in the first fight. It will risk him getting taken down but he's got too to win.

can you explain
poatan is a 1 dimensional striker who got outstriked
hes also like 38 years old
poatan via armbar?
Its a bit weird the way people are talking about the Ank Poatan fightAlex did a good job of stuffing take downs and won 2 rounds. If he comes to this fight to win and not just "fight to not lose" he may pull it off.
Tom has way more to threaten Gane with
Some much needed common sense and ability to rationally analyse fights... at lastAnk x Alex was a stinker 5 round decision where little action happened throughout. Ank did a lot of wall & stall, got stuffed on a dozen take down attempts, and Alex did very little offensively outside of leg kicks. I think Ank is a rightful favorite here, but there isn't any good reason to imagine its not still reasonably competitive.
Gane x Aspinall features a one-dimensional striker fighting a well rounded opponent who is a freak athlete for the division. Its MMA, anything can happen and particularly at heavyweight, statistically we get more stoppages... but Aspinall should be a comfortable favorite.
