Its not just about look at W-L. Bellator MW is so shallow, you dont get many high level fights there. Lombard is definitely a top20 fighter and he was fairly competitive in 25 minuts fight, and it was years ago.
I dont think Storm is a top 20 fighter neither. But I dont see many fighters out of the top 20 with more credit than him. Lets see how he deals with a legit wrestler in Halsey.
Uriah Hall-Tiago Santos was a main card MW fight at UFC 175, and I dont think any of them are more legit fighters than Storm
I know it's mma, but think of the ward fight. Heard the sameeee. How'd it end
Lombard could not make it in the UFC MW division and he was much better than Storm. I also agree it's about more than the W or L ... Storm has looked beatable, and has not completely wrecked his opponents. Bisping is #11 .. can you imagine Storm having any chance to beat Bisping? I can't.
As far as Uriah Hall he has had much better competition and is more well known. Main card or Prelim is many times less about skill and more about a combination of skill and name recognition.

It's an interesting fight, but competition wise this is a prelim or possibly fight pass prelim fight. Storm is not even top 25. Doesn't mean I won't enjoy the fight ... but there is no "high level" mathcup here.
I think Storm has a high chance to lose this one.
Damn, Alex. Did you not work on your wrasslin' these past four months?
It's alright. I still love you, Storm. You'll be back and better than ever.
I'm sorry dude but looking through your posts in this article it is very clear that you are an absolute dummy. Go back to the UFC discussion please.
Lombard proved to not be a enough threat to the belt at MW in UFC but a close fight against Okami is legit by itself.
Anyways, if you think there are 30 MWs better than Shlemenko, where they are?
You can find a couple or so in WSOF or in KSW maybe. Vasilevsky at M-1 is the most legit prospect from East Europe and he actually lost against Falcao when he wasnt in the decline yet, Storm KOed Falcao just some months lately.
There are not legit MWs in Japanese orgs neither, maybe Fukuda, so tell me where are these legit MWs that you think about? In regional orgs that I dont know yet? or maybe you think the whole UFC roster is better than Shlemenko? in fact you seem a UFCfanboy pretty much.
Lombard is not a bad fighter. He just could not make it at MW, and he is better than Storm. Storm just got smashed. Pick 30 MW fighters with a ground game and that's 30 guys who have a good chance to beat him. He is far too undersized to be good at MW.
He fought at I think 168lb before Bellator, there is a reason he jumped to MW and not WW. Storm simply is not that good.
