GSp is the best example of looking past an opponent and underestimating with disastrous results

Is there any close examples of this magnitude??

Conor / Nate l

Lion....Gazelle....Skinny fat guy, etc.....

Me underestimating the taco bell that I ate last night.

I'll go with an easy one.

I thought the fact that Ngannou openly said he doesn't train wrestling or jitsu going into a championship fight was seriously laughable.

Conor vs diaz was the greatest one in my opinion. Just because Conor was being so hyped up and made out to be invincible.

P.S. i was lowkey still bitter bout Conor starching Aldo.

He was definitely looking past Miocic, already talking about fights with Lesnar and Anthony Joshua, and the first words out of his mouth after the loss was about how he underestimated Miocic. So he fits the criteria of the question to a tee...but the weird thing was, unlike the other names being suggested he was the challenger, not the titleholder! Which made it even more crazy...

Joanna - Rose?

Pretty sure Joanna figured she would steam roll her without breaking a sweat

Most shocking to me besides gsp / Serra had to be lutter / Anderson Silva

Dominated Silva in r1 and also had the sub —- first round lutter is a underrated legend

Funny that the entire tuf comeback show seemed like a bunch of horse shit but almost ended up with 2 guys beating Champs who seemed unbeatable at the time

I made money on the gsp/serra fight

If i remember correctly, Forrest was a huge underdog coming into Shoguns UFC fight (could have been his debut)
