I thought that I saw someone different as his head coach before than the one that was shown for his last fight against Rockhold, and also didn't know that he was also BJJ black belt as well. It got me wondering, does anyone know who Romero train with and get coached by?

Can you imagine an Olypian wrestler's first day of bjj class?

His main coach is a Taekwondo guy. Probably accounts for his unpredictable attacks he throws. Hook kicks, spinning back fists etc.

If Romero was around during the Crusades, Islam would have been completely eradicated.

Source on his BJJ blackbelt?

Speaking of which, where the hell was his usual manager/translator/dealer/seagal?

Couldn't make it to Australia?

yep, most of his striking practice is with the TKD guy. Romero is the kind of dude who would be elite no matter what he trained. He could do tai chi and still be explosive and dangerous.

I mean anyone is a black belt nowadays, why it would surprise you that romero is one too

I wouldn't say my reaction was surprised... more like curious. I've been following his career for 4 years and haven't heard one utterance of his BJJ blackbelt. Not in the UFC commentary, interviews, countdowns, breakdown Rockhold/Romero by Hardy and Zahabi. Nowhere. Nice pointless post though, smart ass.
